PFR ***
Campground ***
This is a different type COE park than we are used to. Most COE parks have really nice wide, shaded sites. The sites at this one are very close together, more like a commercial campground, with only 1 very small sapling tree at each site. We did have a good view of the lake though, even though we were quite a way away from the water.
The parking pad is concrete, connected to a large concrete patio with a covered concrete picnic table. So, there was actually very little grass at each site. What we did NOT like about this campground is that the grass between sites was full of stickers! The site we had been assigned had an electrical problem, so we moved to a different site. Since most sites were unoccupied, we had a choice of almost the whole park. We walked around and finally found one that had minimal stickers. After we pulled up the stickers we could see, the dogs only found a few with their paws, but we only used a small section of the grass for them.

I keep this blog to keep track of campgrounds we have stayed in, for our own future reference. Prior to 7/15/22, at the top of each entry is PFR. That was my Pet Friendliness Rating, of one to five *. Five being best. Now I only rate the campsite. We used to travel with 10 small dogs, but sadly, we have lost many of our elderly dogs, and are now down to just 1. So, the multiple dog friendliness is no longer important to us. Prior to 11/1/19, we traveled with 6 - 12 dogs.
