This was a nice campground, with wide, level sites. It had really good grass and a covered concrete picnic table. We only used 6 of our xpens, but it was a good sized area.

Satellite - Had to use the portable dish, but got all 3 satellites.
Water pressure - 35
I keep this blog to keep track of campgrounds we have stayed in, for our own future reference. Prior to 7/15/22, at the top of each entry is PFR. That was my Pet Friendliness Rating, of one to five *. Five being best. Now I only rate the campsite. We used to travel with 10 small dogs, but sadly, we have lost many of our elderly dogs, and are now down to just 1. So, the multiple dog friendliness is no longer important to us. Prior to 11/1/19, we traveled with 6 - 12 dogs.

Fort Dodge RV Resort - Dodge City, Kansas

Campground **
This is a new RV park, just open 4 months, so everything is clean and new, that would probably be good for an overnight stay for some campers. HOWEVER it is not someplace we would ever come back to. For one thing, it is WAY over priced for what it is!
The parking pads for big rigs are wide (about 14'), fairly level, and very long concrete. Some are pull-thru and some are back-in. The shorter sites are gravel. But, the sites are VERY close together, about 13' from concrete edge to edge. Since the park was empty we selected a site at the end of the row, so we had more "yard area". There are fire rings between each site, which is pretty scary, since they are so close together. I wouldn't want our neighbor to have a roaring fire going just 10' from our rig!
But, what made me give this park a ** on both counts is the area between each site. It is dirt with sparse grass and STICKERS!!!!! There were sticker patches we dug up when we first got here, and covered up some others, but there were loose stickers all over. Every time we let the dogs out, we had to pull stickers out of their feet & comb them out of their fur. OUCH!!! Some were the standard type stickers and some were goat head. They could have spent a little more money, gotten rid of the stickers, and planted some good grass.

Campground ***
This campground is pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. The closest town is Lamar, which is 20 miles away. There is only rare cell phone signal, unless you drive just outside the park. Our myfi signal was off and on, and slow when it was on.
Our site was very large, with large common areas on 3 sides. The yard area was dirt and small gravel. outside the yard area was weeds and grass. They mowed the morning we arrived, and there was dead grass clippings everywhere. We had a problem with them being tracked inside by us and the dogs. We had a problem with a large ant bed in the center of the yard area. We had to use an xpen to surround it. We tried ant bait and spray, but they kept coming back.
This is an Electric Only campground, but there was a water spigot right next to our site.

Lake Pueblo State Park (Arkansas Point Campground), Pueblo, Colorado
PFR *****
Campground ***
Our site at this park had a really beautiful view of the lake, marina, and mountains, including Pikes Peak, but the picnic area was just dirt with a little small gravel. The picnic table had a curved metal sun guard, that shaded about 3/4 of the table in the afternoon. But, the yard area was mostly sunny in the afternoons even with the awning out. Also, the fire ring was in the center of the yard area, so we had to use one of our xpens to go around it. We used 6 pens to make the yard, and probably couldn't have used the 7th one anyway. The area outside the dirt/gravel area was weeds and stickers.
This is an electric only campground. There was a water spigot on the other side of the site next to us, so we were able to stretch a hose over to it to fill the fresh water tank.

We stayed in this same site 8/21/19 - 9/4/19. The only thing I want to add, is I don't remember the dirt in the yard area being as fine and loose 2 years ago. The dogs got filthy dirty very quickly and the inside of the coach was covered in dust. Elwood looked like PigPen from Charlie Brown. A cloud of dirt followed him around as he moved around in the yard.
------------------------------
This campground has nice wide spaces, but they are all curved pull-thrus, so it was a little hard to get situated, and it is just barely long enough for our rig with bike rack on the back, and our car parked sideways. We were able to use all 7 xpens. The patio area is mostly dirt with some gravel.
Like most parks in the cooler climates, there are not water hookups at each site. But, there is a water spigot at the site next to our site, and we were able to reach it with a hose to fill the fresh water tank.
This park is near the Rocky Mountain National Park, which is really beautiful.

Glendo Lakeside RV Park - Glendo, Wyoming

Campground ****
This is a nice campground. The entire RV section is nice red gravel. The sites are separated by yellow concrete dividers. The sites are all very long and wide with a small tree in each. We could only put our awning out about 1/2 way because of the tree, but we have afternoon shade on that side anyway. We had plenty of room to use all 7 of the xpens.
When we checked in, the girl asked if we had pets, and how many. Mike told her 9. She just said, "Oh my, you travel with a lot of dogs!", but was fine with it. I told her that we needed a site with a good size yard on the awning side for our puppy yard. She just said they are all the same size, but we should have plenty of room because they are wide sites.

This is a nice campground, but it is very popular with tent and cabin campers with kids. The owners were VERY nice, and loved our dogs. They even loaned us their own park pass so we wouldn't have to pay $20 to get into the Custer State Park.
Our site was grass, with a gravel parking pad. It was large enough to use all 7 of our xpens.
