Original review, below, was 12/21/16.
This site floods badly when it rains. The only area that didn't flood was not under the awning.
Length of stay: 2 weeks

This is a nice park, only about 20 min from Kevin & Meghan. There aren't many sites that would accommodate us though. Our site was really great though. It is LONG, very wide, and fairly secluded. The parking pad is level blacktop, with a packed sand/crushed gravel yard area. It is packed enough so it doesn't stick to their paws, but pee soaked right in. The yard area worked great for the dogs. Plenty large enough for all of our xpens.
The park is rather "hilly" and there are tight turns. The dump station is awkward to get to.
We had to drive to the bathhouse, which was inconvenient. But, we got EXCELLENT antenna reception.
Length of stay - 1 week

I keep this blog to keep track of campgrounds we have stayed in, for our own future reference. Prior to 7/15/22, at the top of each entry is PFR. That was my Pet Friendliness Rating, of one to five *. Five being best. Now I only rate the campsite. We used to travel with 10 small dogs, but sadly, we have lost many of our elderly dogs, and are now down to just 1. So, the multiple dog friendliness is no longer important to us. Prior to 11/1/19, we traveled with 6 - 12 dogs.

Big Hart Campground COE - Thompson, Georgia

This is a nice campground, with well maintained heavely wooded sites, with nice picnic tables, and very large patio areas. They also have a fire ring (with bench seating), barbecue grill, and small table. Most sites are pull-thru with waterfront view. We had enough room for all 7 xpens, plus quite a bit more. The parking area is packed sandy soil and gravel. The patio area is packed sandy soil and tiny gravel.
There are only a few sites large enough for our rig.
It rained while we were here and our site flooded. It drained and soaked in pretty quickly after it stopped, but was a problem for the dogs during the rain. Also, the area up by the front door turned muddy.
Water and Electric Only
Site #8
Length of stay - 8 nights
$13/night with discount card
OTA - 7 channels, including MeTV
Satellite - None using rooftop. All 3 with portable, using 200' of cable.

We came to this campground for a BRD rally. They have a 3 pet limit, so we had to just put up a couple of xpens and take 3 out at a time.
This is a new campground and not everything is finished. No one seems to know what how to do things and what's going on.
Entrance is gated. The parking pads are either concrete or gravel, with grass and pine needle ground covering. We had a gravel back-in.

This is a nice little park that has a lot of trees and vegetation between sites. Parking pad was level concrete. Our site was not as wide as some others we saw, but had enough room for 4 xpens. The yard area was packed sand. We would have liked to sit outside, but there were too many biting gnats.

$38.00 per night (Passport America rate of $19.00 is good for 1 night.)

The last two times we stayed at this campground we LOVED it because of the really huge grassy sites, and how pet friendly they are. They are still super pet friendly, but this time they put us in one of their new sites. This site is a long pull-thru, but not NEARLY as wide as the other sites. Also the grass is very sparse and full of very loose sand. The parking pad is ground up asphalt and pretty soft. Our jacks made indentions in it.

The first time we stayed in this same site was 11/2/15, (original posting below).
The clearing area in this site is much larger than the last time we were in it. We used all 7 xpens, and had plenty of room. It is still quite secluded from the sites on either side, and easy access to the water.
A mamma deer and her baby came to visit us before we even got set up. They were very tame. A squirrel also came down the palm tree and acted like he had been hand fed.
We have a better wifi receiver and an OTA antenna booster now, so we had better reception on both. But, there are too many trees around to get any kind of satellite reception.

This is a very beautiful park! Each site is surrounded by natural foliage and trees, with a lot of space between each site. The site we got backed up to the water. Our site had a gravel pad that was about 6' wider than the rig, and sandy ground past that. The site was wide enough to use 4 xpens. We had intended to only stay 2 nights, but decided to stay an additional night. We did not have an option to stay past that, since that site was already reserved. I had made this reservation several months ago, and this was the only site available, that would accommodate our rig, for the time period we needed.
I called the park a couple of weeks before we arrived and asked about their pet limit policies. She said they did not have a limit, and asked how many we had. I told her that we had 6 well behaved, very small, dogs. She said that would be fine. But, when we checked in, no one even asked if we had pets.
The man across the road from us, turned out to be a Sat diver, and had many mutual friends with Rick.

There are no pet limits listed on the web site or in the rules they gave us at check-in. But, Mike said the guy asked if we had pets, and when he said we had dogs, the guy said, "Two?". So he said, "Yes.". Our site was pretty secluded, so no one ever even saw them.
Our site was tiny gravel bits surrounded by vegetation on 3 sides. If it had been warmer weather, we could have put out all 7 xpens, but we only put out 5 because it was too cold to stay outside very long. There are walking trails and beach access. The park is peaceful and well kept. Half of the sites are FHU.
After we got set up, we discovered that Rick and his family were here, just a few sites down from us.
