Bald Ridge Creek Campground, Lake Lanier COE - Cumming, Georgia

PFR *****
Campground ****

We stayed at the campground last year, in site #6.  That site had NO afternoon shade.  This site has GREAT afternoon shade!  The site is HUGE, with enough room for all 7 xpens.  There is some green space and a road on the driver's side, and across that road is the bathhouse.  On the awning side, there is a huge green space between our site and the swim beach.  The site is also very long, so we are quite a way back from the road.  The only problem is that we had to pull quite a ways into the site across the street to be able to back into this site.  But this is a great site!

Site #38
$13/night with senior pass discount
No sewer
OTA - 19 channels
Satellite - 110 & 119
Length of stay - 14 nights
Water pressure - 60

Site #75
2 weeks 5/27 - 6/10/2022
This is a nice site, with good shade and access to the water.  Connor went swimming, but no fish were caught.  It is across from the boat parking lot.

Site 74 looks like it would also be good.  There is a spot next to the big tree where the portable satellite dish can go.  It also has a trail that leads down to the water.  There are also a couple of places where cars could park on the grass if the lot is full.

Upon leaving site 75, we discovered that it was VERY difficult to get past the tight curve on the loop road.  There is a 6" drop off on the passenger side of the curve.  Mike had to back up a couple of times to make the turn.

Below are photos of site 75.

This is a nice campground, and the site we stayed in was GREAT!!  It has plenty of room for all 7 xpens, has nice packed soil, has a great view of the lake, perfect afternoon shade, secluded, and easy in and out.  We would like to come back sometime and stay in this site longer than just the one night we are here this time.

This is a nice campground, with long, level gravel sites, with great grass.  Some sites are wider than others.  Our site was nicely wide.  Large enough that we could put out 6 xpens.

They did not ask about pets when we checked in, and had a dog on the front porch of the office.

No trees.

Camp Hatteras RV Resort - Waves, North Carolina (Outer Banks)

PFR *****
Campground ****

This was for a Blue Ridge rally.  The sites are nice & wide, and plenty long.  We got an end site, so we had enough room to put out 6 xpens, but we could have put out almost that many at a different site.  Nice grass.

Their web site said that they charge $3 per night, per dog.  But, they did not even ask about pets when Mike called to make the reservation, or when we checked in.

Site #386
$63/night ($48/night rally rate)
Length of stay - 5 nights 4/4 - 4/9
Cable - 60

RVacation RV Park - Selma, North Carolina

PFR *****
Campground ***

This is a nice campground.  The sites are level, and wide.  The site we had 4/9 was nicer than the site we had  4/3.  Would be nice for a weekly or monthly stay.

They did not ask about dogs during reservation call or registration.  They had a dog as a welcoming committee.  They also had a notice on the back of the campground map about a campground dog dying.

Site D4 was big enough to put out 5 xpens. Site H3 was big enough we could have put out all 7 pens.

They have good wifi and decent OTA, including Metv.

New Green Acres RV Park - Walterboro, South Carolina

PFR *****
Campground ****

This is a great campground!  The sites are VERY long and VERY wide!  They advertise that they have the longest and widest pull thru sites East of the Mississippi.  The sites are not paved, but they are pretty level.

They did not ask if we had pets.  Our site was large enough that we could have put out all 7 pens, but we put out 5.  The area for the pens is nice & grassy, with shade.

It is right off the highway, so there is some traffic noise when outside.

Length of stay - 1 night 4/2
Cable - 61 channels
Antenna - 9 channels, including Metv
Satellite - Didn't try it, but probably too many trees

Stagecoach RV Park - St Augustine, Florida

PFR *****
Campground **

The only thing good about this campground is that it is pet friendly.  I emailed them several weeks ago and they said that as long as we did not leave our pets outside unattended, they would not have a problem with the number we have.

Our site was a pull-thru, but there was a gully at the edge of the site that you have to drive over to get in the site.  The utilities are all at the entrance of the site, instead of near the center.  Had to use extensions for electric, water, and cable.

Our site would have been nice & wide, but our neighbor parked his truck on our side.

It is very expensive for what it is.

Length of stay - 1 night 4/1
Site #22
Cable - 25
Antenna - 37, including Metv
Satellite- ?
$43.20 with Good Sam discount
Water pressure 50#
