PFR *****
Campground **+
This is campground is nice, but not many sites that we will fit in. The site we are in was tight to get into, since it "dog legged" to the right, and there were a couple of trees we had to avoid. The site is a crushed gravel and blacktop. This site does have a nice large dog yard, but our next door neighbor is pretty close, since we share an entry drive. We do have a view of the lake.
Only 3 ota TV channels, all PBS. No cell phone service, and weak internet.
Since we are here for 2 weeks, we are using the bath house. It is not close enough to walk to, so we have to drive to get there.
We have reservations at site #26 on our return trip. It looks like a really nice, wide site.
Site #1
Length of stay - 2 weeks
$14/night, with senior discount
Site #26 is really nice. Very long, wide, level, and easy to back into. It is right next to the lake, with a wooden step down to the shore level. It is also pretty secluded. This site is a lot nicer than site 1. But, we still only get 3 PBS channels most of the time, but could get 3 other channels, including MEtv and one network station.
Length of stay - 2 nights
I keep this blog to keep track of campgrounds we have stayed in, for our own future reference. Prior to 7/15/22, at the top of each entry is PFR. That was my Pet Friendliness Rating, of one to five *. Five being best. Now I only rate the campsite. We used to travel with 10 small dogs, but sadly, we have lost many of our elderly dogs, and are now down to just 1. So, the multiple dog friendliness is no longer important to us. Prior to 11/1/19, we traveled with 6 - 12 dogs.
